TexCap packed 1,250 pairs of shoes for children in KenyaOn June 8, employees at TexCap Insurance participated in the agency’s second TexCap Cares Day benefitting Buckner International’s Shoes for Orphan Souls.

Employees wrote words of encouragement to go with each pair of shoesWhile at the Buckner Center for Humanitarian Aid, TexCap employees prepared and packed new shoes for orphans and vulnerable children. Employees processed shoes and included notes of encouragement for the shoes’ future recipients. They then packed those shoes to ship off the children in Kenya. In all, TexCap packed around 1,250 shoes.

TexCap Cares is an agency-wide focus on providing service and support for our local non-profit organizations. Though we focus on service throughout the year through different charity and event sponsorships, we dedicate two half days of work each year to community service for our TexCap Cares Day.

Buckner International is a non-profit that “delivers redemptive ministry to the most vulnerable from the beginning to the end of life.” They provide assistance to children, seniors, and families in the United States and around the world.
